A fantastic article in the Fifth Estate really sums up the case for holding up Bondi as an example of density done in a way that creates community, rather than wrecking it with one dumb planning target.
It begins, ‘The fact we’re even considering substantial development in villages such as Bondi shows that the NSW government’s housing reforms need more work. Along with a thriving community stemming from its working-class origins, Bondi is a trailblazer and should be held up as a benchmark for “density done well”.’
